Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We saw this Restoran recommended by locals on Reddit and came over to try. The curry mee was flavourful and delicious! Like recommended by other posts, it’s good to go early before they sell out or run out of yong tau foo items. I enjoyed the eggplant yong tau foo and my cup of tea as well."
"Do give it a try if you fancy thick and creamy curry noodles. Famous for its typical curry noodle soup serve with clams (si harm) Very strong coconut cream fragrant and soup is thick. Otherwise you can go for dried noodles or clear soup based. Not really my type for breakfast, but definitely an option for brunch or lunch."
"First time here in May 2024. Had curry Yong tau foo, Fish balls noodles. Both are delicious. The drinks were also nice. Cafe is clean and service is fast. Cook is friendly too."
"Came here just for their curry yong tau foo noodle, the defacto type of curry noodle in Kuantan. They have other type of noodles too though. Without doubt, the curry soup is above many in town. The yong tau foo, on the contrary is very average. Just get to select 3 or 4 from the menu without any pictures or seeing the actual Yong Tau Foo. Takes away the fun of choosing one from sight like the rest. But they have siham as add on, and it was of pretty good size. Food was served quite quickly. The shop is a bit sombre though. Looks more like a converted pub with its darker wall and set up. Definitely not ig worthy."
"I have been coming here regularly for the last month and have effectively tried out most of their menu offerings. For Kuantan, this is a great morning noodle shop with fantastic noodles. All their signature dishes are appetizing and good tasting- from curry yong taufoo, bitter melon beehon and po chai mee. Wide variety of ‘liew’ and noodles cooked to right temperature. Very crowded at peak hours but service is often prompt and with a big smile from the waitresses. Environment is clean too !!"
"Curry mee here is pretty good. The curry base soup is slightly thicker probably because of the generous use of coconut milk and also a fragrant flavour of lemongrass (serai). Customers can usually select the various 'yong tau foo' items to go with the noodles but unfortunately they were running very low on stock even when we were there at 10.15am on a sunday morning. So we just took whatever combination they could put together. The ice coffee is really kaw and has a good kick. Limited seating and can get pretty hot. Ample parking."
"3.5/5 Their curry gravy is more to sweet rather than spicy flavor which is not really to my liking. They do have other varieties of noodles apart from curry noodles. It is a popular restaurant so please visit early. Service is not bad"
"Went around 12 and curry mee almost finished. The shop owner was kind enough to bring me to the kitchen to show what is left and asked if it is ok to proceed with the item that they had. I still had yellow noodles, Yong taufu piece, chicken drumstick piece, taufu, fish balls and the portion was big. Curry mee tasted amazing and perhaps one of the best I had. I will surely go again next time I visit kuantan. Overall amazing experience and a must try at Kuantan."
